Night Walk 03:21
Night Walk Let’s go talk to the moon Let’s walk around the city After everyone’s gone home. You’ll talk of your pain I’ll talk of mine And we’ll dance In the neon lights. Let’s dance as if we’ll never die Live as if we’ll die tomorrow . Let’s read Lorca to each other Poems that make us remember I quit the cross tops You cut the blades Let’s open our chests And fly away. Let’s sing as if we’ll never die Live as if we’ll die tomorrow Let us speak about love Shout it out to the moon above Time is a thief Who will steal your dreams away Let’s dance like angels On our graves. Let’s love as if we’ll never die Live as if we’ll die tomorrow . . Let’s dance like angels on our graves. © Rosanne Olson

Hello Heartache Hello heartache Why’d you come so soon? I didn’t expect you ‘til afternoon I’m sitting here with My morning tea Memories of us Washing over me The cat is sleeping In your favorite chair The birds are singing As if you’re still here Hello heartache Why’d you come so soon? I didn’t expect you ‘til afternoon I lay out the pieces Of my broken heart Like a jig saw puzzle Where do I start? I have no name For life without you Right now I just call it blue . . . . . . . . Hello heartache Why’d you come so soon? I didn’t expect you ‘til afternoon © Rosanne Olson

Catalonia Light I thought I saw you standing In Catalunya Square I cross the street to find you But you’re not there. I wander down the Ramblas To where the sky meets the sea Hoping to find you And that you’ll find me Chorus: I’ll always see you dancing In the Catalonia light I didn’t think I was coming here To say . . . goodbye I hear you talking Right next to me I turn to see you But it’s only the trees Then you’re in the chapel The one on the hill I sit down beside you But it’s someone else chorus © Rosanne Olson

Which way is love? Intro: I’m driving this old car all alone Headlights searching the gravel roads Gas tank half empty, what can I say Seems I’ve lost my way Chorus I ask the stars above Which way is love Which way is lovvvvvve? Your voice fills my mind as tears fill my eyes It’s clear, I don’t know where I’m going Should I turn around? Back to the hurt I’ve come from? Or should I drive straight on ‘til morning? Chorus There’s no place I’d rather be than driving this road to set me free Ohhhh . . . . set me free! The miles roll on like a ribbon of hope I turn on the radio . . . And I . . . start singing! Oh-oooooo Chorus I ask the stars above Which way is love This way to love? I’m on my way to love! © Rosanne Olson

Where Does the Time Go When I went away in the dark of the moon, I was still thinking of you, wishing we had more time, darling. I heard the gypsy violins, sad songs on blackbird wings and I wept for the time that passed by me. Chorus: Where does the time go? Here and gone. And oh, what about love? I dreamed of us all through the night, and in the morning I awoke like sleeping beauty kissed by her lover. Amid the clatter of coffee cups, honking cars and radios, I wrote a song for you as I wandered. chorus I found a jardin of dappled light where old men sat day ’til night, speaking a secret language of tears. They spoke of wars from long ago, friends they lost and love they’d known and . . . oh, where do the years go? Bridge: I keep coming back to the music again, gypsy songs that fill my head and lead me down the river of longing. And I’m still thinking of you, standing here the dark of the moon, wishing we had more time, darling. Final Chorus: Where does the time go? I want to know And ohh what about love? © Rosanne Olson

Chorus Let’s dance across the floor Fall in love like we were before Baby, oh baby, let’s dance I’m flying home on the 6:00 plane Counting time ‘til I see you again See the yellow taxi, bringing me home Didn’t know how much I loved you til I was gone Chorus Bridge: Time is a funny thing, How it heals the heart I love you more and more Since we’ve been apart Do-te-do do do Do-te-do do do Oh baby, ooooo let’s dance There you are standing at the door Looking lovelier than ever before Let’s turn down the lights Turn on the stereo, Baby, baby let’s dance Chorus.

Glory Be 03:45
Glory Be There’s a man playing the cello As bombs drop all around Music like sparrows As buildings tumble down There’s a woman in line Waiting to buy bread Bullets tear through the air And everyone is dead Chorus Glory hallelujah Glory be, Glory be There are snipers in the buildings Rifles at the doors Babies cry for mother Mothers cry NO WAR There’s a hunger for silence A hunger for peace The man playing the cello Begins another piece Chorus There’s a man at the crosswalk His child at his side When the bullets pause They run to the other side There’s them and there’s us There’s war—is there peace? The man playing the cello Begins another piece. Chorus Glory hallelujah Glory be . . . . . eeaa Glory . . . . be Glory hallelujah Glory be . . . . . eeaa Glory . . . . be Daddy I’m going up the country To see my daddy one more time sit with him on the front porch And watch the world go by We’ll look at old photographs Mama in her wedding gown our dog chasing the rabbits us kids in our little town Chorus The wind blows through the birch trees A song it’s always sung Life goes by in a moment Seems like it’s just begun My daddy used to hold me In the palm of his hand I was just a baby and He was a strong young man Chorus I’m going up the country To see my daddy one more time put my hand on his hand and watch the world go by.
